This role oversees multidisciplinary teams responsible for permitting operations and plays a key role in setting direction, resolving complex and sensitive issues, and ensuring consistent, high quality service delivery aligned with City standards and priorities. Reporting to the Manager, Utility Management, the Senior Project Manager is expected to operate with a high degree of independence and professional judgment.
This includes leading complex engineering and permitting initiatives, managing complex issues involving utilities and other stakeholders, and ensuring permit reviews and approvals meet quality, consistency, and service level expectations. The role requires a strong technical foundation in utility and transportation infrastructure construction, together with demonstrated leadership and change management capability. The Senior Project Manager balances strategic oversight while providing guidance to Supervisors and remaining directly engaged on matters that are complex, time sensitive, or high risk.
