Position OverviewLeader, Product Design (12 Month Fixed‑Term Contract) – report to Head of Design at Interac.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross‑functional leadership to define product vision, strategy, and goals.Define and communicate a explicit design vision aligned with overall product objectives.Oversee the iterative design process from discovery through launch, integrating user research and testing.Ensure all product design activities meet high quality standards and are delivered on time and on budget.Manage and coach a team of Product Designers, supporting career development.Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of design talent.Provide guidance on product delivery operations to foster effective collaboration between product, design, and engineering teams.Define and implement design best practices and tools to be adopted across Interac.Champion and evangelize Human‑Centered Design methodology throughout the organization.Qualifications7+ years in product design with a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative solutions.Expertise in Product Design and Human‑Centered Design methodologies.Hands‑on experience with industry‑standard tools such as Figma, FigJam, Adobe XD, etc.Ability to create interactive prototypes and wireframes.Experience designing scalable design systems and maintaining design libraries.Expertise in usability testing, synthesizing insights,
