OpportunityWe are in search of enthusiastic and energetic Summer Day Camp Leaders to help plan and lead an inclusive summer camp program for school‑aged children. The role offers a unique opportunity to spend a summer outdoors exploring local parks, beaches, and community spaces while creating fun and memorable experiences with children.ResponsibilitiesThe Summer Day Camp Leaders are responsible for the daily operations of the camp, including, but not limited to:Plan and implement age‑appropriate camp games and activities in collaboration with the Summer Day Camp Supervisor.Guide children’s behaviour to encourage positive self‑concept.Maintain a healthy and secure environment for children.Communicate positively with children and families.Perform first aid as needed.Supervise and mentor volunteers.Carry out other duties assigned by the Supervisor.Required QualificationsMust be at least 19 years old.Have a School‑Age Care or 20‑Hour Responsible Adult training certificate.Have a minimum of three months’ experience in a similar environment.Hold a current safety‑oriented first aid and CPR certificate (minimum 8‑hour course).Provide a clear criminal record check.Contract DetailsSalary Range:$21.50per hourEmploymentThis position works full‑time (37.5 hours per week) during July and August.Must be available Monday to Friday for all9weeks of Summer Camp startingJune 29, 2026 .Must attend one paid mandatory training and preparation session onJune 20(8:30 am – 4:00 pm) 2026.Must be available to help with summer wrap‑up/clean‑up onAugust 31, 2026(9:00 am‑4:30 pm).Contract dates:June 29 – August 31, 2025 .Vacation pay is paid out as a percentage of wages on each paycheck.We are dedicated to cultivating an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming workplace.
