You will report to the Manager of Maintenance Tooling Engineering. This position will have a Hybrid work schedule. Employees working in hybrid roles are expected to work onsite at one of our Ontario offices (Kitchener, Burlington or Peterborough) 2 days per week.ResponsibilitiesDevelop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro-mechanical first of a kind toolingAssembly and testing of custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished productHelp develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specificationsHelp operate the final tooling system in the customer facilitiesProvide technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering teamPerform both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and components against applicable codes and standardsQualificationsLicensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)Bachelor of Engineering from Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering5 years of relevant experienceUnderstanding of conceptual design development, with design reviews and engineering change control processesWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
