Department: FinanceEmployment status: Permanent full-timeReason for Hire: Existing RoleTo express your interest in the role pleasesubmityour application before May 8, 2026.PURPOSE OF ROLEThe Project Accountant performs a variety of functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting & analysis, budgeting, and financial review for their assigned projects and cost centres. The Project Accountant will also work collaboratively with the Regional and Corporate Accounting Teams, on accounting and finance related tasks.KEY FUNCTIONSFINANCIAL ANALYSIS AND REPORTINGRecords details of all financial transactions for their assigned projects or cost centres into the General Ledger for monthly and quarterly reporting. This may include invoicing, cash receipts, accounts payable processing, and journal entries.Provides monthly, quarterly, and year end reporting and analysis to Real Estate, Attractions and Finance, including variance analysis, general ledger reconciliations, and various reports including contract/commitment listing reports, and capital expenditure reports.Works with the Finance Team to complete assigned Financial Statement Notes for Parc Downsview Park Inc.Supports the Regional and Corporate Finance Teams with interim and year end audit information requests.ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND OTHER ACCOUNTING ACTIVITIESPrepares templates and provides budget uploads and validations to the Attractions Division for their operational budgets and other assigned cost centres.Ensures all Accounts Payable associated with their respective projects and assigned cost centres are processed ona timelybasis,



and all commitments for their projects and cost centres are set- up andmaintainedin accordance withcompany policy.Records monthly entries and prepares reconciliations for the operating activities managed by third parties.Records revenues,expensesand other transactions for operating activitiespertaining totheir assigned projects.REGIONALLY SPECIFIC FUNCTIONSOther corporate duties including bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, HST filings, variance analysis, andadditionalreporting to Head Office.Operational support for the Attractions Division including invoicing, payment collection, and reporting.Manages fixed assets andmaintainscontinuity schedules (Property, Plant, & Equipment, Investment Properties, & Lease Incentives) for Financial Statement Notes.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEPost-secondary degree or diploma in business, finance or accountingrequired.Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experiencerequired.Experience in real estate and project accounting preferred.Working knowledge of IFRSrequired.Advanced Microsoft Excel skillsrequired.Knowledge of JD Edwards and Hubble computer systems and software, an asset.Recruitment Range:$66,440 to $74,744Benefits:Health, Dental, Vision, Vacation, Personal days, Employee Family Assistance Program, Fitness Allowance,Pensionand Incentive* The recruitment range provided reflects the expected compensation for this role.
