Join Nipissing University as the inaugural Director of the Community Planning Program. Lead creative educational initiatives in a full time role focused on resilience and community sustainability. This position allows you to establish a transformative program in Northern Ontario. You will report to the Dean of Arts and Science, facilitating curriculum development and engaging with various stakeholders for accreditation. Your leadership will help address planning challenges in rural and Indigenous communities, requiring a PhD in Planning or a related field. Key Responsibilities:
Direct the development of a unique curriculum for planning education
Collaborate with faculty and community stakeholders
Lead efforts toward provincial and national program recognition
Promote academic research and exemplary teaching practices
Integrate diverse perspectives, focusing on decolonization Requirements:
Doctorate in Planning or a similar discipline
Registration as a Professional Planner or qualification for registration
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship
Strong commitment to community engagement
