MOBILE PATROL SUPERVISORAre you passionate about Safety & Security and seeking the opportunity to join a team of experienced Mobile Security professionals?Providing Security Guard Services at the City of Toronto Building, operating Security Systems, monitoring and patrollingMonitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to routine, emergency, and security & law enforcement callsActing as an ambassador of the client site by providing customer service, responding to public inquiries, and performing guard tours along designated routes. Assist in the movement of visitors and staffManaging and leading a team of Security SpecialistsMaintaining an open line of communication with the client and ASP IncorporatedObserving, investigating, and acting on possible breaches of security, fire and safety hazards, illegal entry, theft and malfunction or interruption of utilities and informing designated authorities in event of emergencyDocumenting all security incidents into a clear, concise, complete and accurate security incident report; Activating fire alarm and safety systems and assisting in evacuation procedures. Escorting designated authorities, police, fire, ambulance personnel to emergency locationEnforcement of the Trespass to Property act including physically removing individuals found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts on premises or the assigned property; Access Controland screening unauthorized person and physically removing person found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts or breaching the policies. If required,
legally arrest individuals and surrender same to Police as soon as possibleRecording and maintaining logbook of daily activities, unusual or special occurrences and issuance of equipment to staffPerforming duties such as open‑up and lock‑down procedures, bomb threat searches and security/life safety equipment inspections and testingPerforming emergency response duties in accordance with the Emergency Response Manual, including escorting designated authorities, police, fire, ambulance personnel to emergency locationsReceiving/recording complaints, conducting investigations, preparing incident reports, and conducting follow‑up investigations; Liaising with Shelter Management to communicate any issues and challenges to site operations and reporting any health and safety concerns of fire and life safety concernsQualifications1 year of Canadian Police or Canadian Armed Forces experienceGraduate from a recognized community college in the field of law enforcement, security administration or related field, including justice studies, social service, mental health and/or healthcareMinimum of three (3) years' experience within North American security industry and experience in a related security functionMinimum of two (2)
years experience within North American in a related security supervisory functionMust have G class Driver's License & a clean drivers abstract and be over 25 years old to qualify, Mobile Security experience an assetHands on experience with making or assisting arrestsEligible to work in CanadaStrong communication and observation skillsAbility to work in a high‑stress environmentAbility to make quick and informed decisionsLicensed by the Province of Ontario as a registered Security Guard and must maintain the license for the duration of employmentSmart Serve, De‑Escalation, SCDT, Standard First Aid, CPR and AED certificationsComprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, Codes and legislation, including the Criminal Code, the Trespass to Property Act, the Fire Code and WHMISStrong leadership, confidence and communication skills are important, with the ability to work alone or as part of a professional team dealing with demanding challengesUse of AI in hiringASP may use automated or AI‑enabled tools to support applicant screening and selection.
