Overview

PGT is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Field Technician to support construction and engineering projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The successful candidate will perform on-site inspections, monitoring, data collection, and the installation and maintenance of field equipment and monitoring systems. This role requires outdoor work, attention to detail, and close collaboration with engineers, supervisors, and project managers.

Duties

- Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities for compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

- Install, set up, inspect, and maintain field equipment and monitoring systems.

- Accurately collect, record, and report field measurements, observations, and test results.

- Assist engineers and supervisors with site testing, troubleshooting, and technical support.

- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in valuable condition.

- Follow all company and site-specific health and safety procedures.

- Travel to project sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

- Perform additional duties and adapt to changing responsibilities based on project and company needs.

Experience

- Previous experience in construction, fieldwork,



equipment installation, or a related environment is an asset.

- A high school diploma is required; technical education in construction, civil engineering, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.

- A valid Ontario G driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area are required.

- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to follow instructions.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Flexibility to work extended hours, overtime, varying shifts, and occasional weekends based on project requirements.

Pay: $18.11-$21.00 per hour
