Position: Clinic Assistant / Medical Office AssistantJob Class: Part Time (11 - 37 hours per week)Location: WELL Health - Yonge & CharlesHourly Pay Rate: $18.50 CADPosition SummaryThe Clinic Assistant (CA) is a qualified individual charged with the responsibility of clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of a physician and direction of the physician and/or Clinic Manager to assist in patient care and administration.What you will be doingCoordinate patient care through the clinic, exam room and labTaking and documenting vital signs (i.E. Blood pressure, heart rate, height and weight)Venipuncture (certification required)Interview patients to complete intake forms or other documentsAssist patients complete medical history formsUnder supervision and direction of a physician, simple wound managementPrepare exam rooms; select, setup andmaintain medical supplies and equipment for all examinations and proceduresClean and sterilize exam rooms, materials and instruments and disposing of contaminated supplies or equipmentCheck inventory and assist with ordering of medical supplies and materialsGreeting and registering patientsScheduling appointmentsEMR documentation/medical record maintenanceBilling and codingComplete insurance and other claim formsAssisting with call backs, referrals, scanning, faxing, paper clipping and filingAssisting manager,



nursing and reception staff as requiredAdhere to all Health & Safety RegulationsAttend and make contributions at clinic meetings and training sessionsYou haveA high school diploma in addition to a Medical Clinic Assistant and/or OSMT Lab Tech from an accredited school.Must have robust interpersonal and communication skills.The ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentialityProficiency in the use of computers and office equipmentThe salary for this position falls within a defined range and will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the needs of the organization.
