Drive community sport initiatives as a Sport Development Supervisor with the City of Markham. Oversee programs, mentor staff, and enhance participation in a thriving recreational workplace. Reporting to the Sport Development Coordinator, this role focuses on ensuring successful implementation of sport development initiatives across the community.

You'll manage athlete, coach, and official development along with community outreach programs. Leadership is key as you supervise, train, and motivate staff and volunteers to create positive experiences for residents. Key Responsibilities:
Administer city-wide sport development initiatives effectively
Recruit, hire, and train part time staff successfully
Collaborate with community sport groups for needs assessment




Maintain customer service excellence with all stakeholders
Manage logistics for event success and satisfaction surveys Requirements:
Post-secondary education in sport management or related field
Minimum three years of supervisory experience in recreation
Current First Aid and CPR certifications required
Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CLASS Lead sport initiatives in Markham and enhance community engagement through effective management and collaboration.
