Information Technology Services is responsible for all computing hardware, operations, network infrastructure, and systems to support and enhance the School’s core mission. Rotman students, faculty, and staff use up-to-date technologies to directly enhance learning, teaching, and research.As the Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to acquire information via Discovery Sessions with SME's and/or end‑users to create/document BPM’s (Business Process Maps) relating to new software system requirements or enhancement to existing systems. You will also be responsible for divisional data quality, data acquisition practices and data entry standard.You will collaborate in the launch, support and maintenance of core operational data and reporting services and business processes. This includes responsibility for eliciting clear, concise, non‑conflicting requirements from subject matter experts who may or may not understand how technology can be used to positively transform the business process.Your responsibilities will include:Analyzing and documenting business requirements, ensuring the requirements document meets the needs of the stakeholders and usersAssessing needs and contributing to the development of business systemsResearching, analyzing and recommending potential changes to system features; effectively communicating the analysis results to stakeholders,



technical staff and managementWriting complex specifications based on system requirements; writing test cases for user acceptance testing and leading user acceptance testing sessionsPlanning the implementation of recent business system processesTraining end‑users on procedures and the use of supported IT systemsManaging competing priorities to ensure focus and predictability of deliverablesKeeping well‑informed on current technologies, best practices and industry standardsEssential Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience. A certificate in Business Process Management and/or Business Analysis are considered an assetMinimum five (5) years experience working with business process and/or business analysis on large scale software systems like ERP’s or CRM’sExperience with business analysis management methodologies and techniques, including requirements analysis, flow charts, process modelling and process mapping, test design and executionDemonstrated experience preparing and presenting reports to internal stakeholders and training usersFunctional knowledge and experience in relational and object database management system concepts and associated reporting toolsStrong analytical skills, able to interpret business requirements and articulate them into models and concepts that plug into bigger scope projectsStrong communication skills, able to present requirements, concepts and procedures; able to design and deliver training and support materialsSelf‑motivated and accomplished at working with minimal supervision,
