Join Haldimand & Norfolk Housing and Social Services as a Homelessness Prevention Intake/Diversion Worker in Simcoe, Ontario. Your essential work involves connecting at-risk individuals and families with crucial housing resources. In this temporary full time role, you will serve as the first point of contact, conducting assessments to identify the needs of those facing homelessness.
Through effective support, you will enhance housing stability and improve the quality of life for those in crisis. This role involves in-office and site work, with potential for adaptable arrangements. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments for families at risk of homelessness
Connect clients to housing and community support services
Monitor client progress and provide follow-up support
Work with community partners to enhance service delivery
Keep detailed records of client assessments and interactions Requirements:
Experience in community services or social work
Robust interpersonal and communication abilities
Understanding of homelessness issues and resources
Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector, required
Adaptability to meet operational needs of the role Contribute to impactful homelessness prevention efforts with Haldimand & Norfolk Housing and Social Services.
