As aMid-Level As-Needed Biologist, you’ll work alongside seasoned professionals on impactful projects that shape California’s landscapes.Day in the Life of a Mid-Level As-Needed BiologistAMid-Level Biologistat HELIX may spend time conducting biological reconnaissance surveys, vegetation community mapping, special-status species surveys, or construction monitoring. You’ll also contribute to technical reports, CEQA/NEPA documentation, and permit applications. ThisMid-Level As-Needed Biologistrole requires strong independent field skills, clear technical writing skills, and the ability to deliver quality work on schedule and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct or lead biological surveys, including focused species surveys and pre-construction clearancesPerform biological monitoring for construction and restoration projectsPrepare biological technical reports, habitat assessments, and CEQA/NEPA document sectionsAssist with wetland permit applications and supporting materialsMaintain accurate field notes, maps,
