Reporting to the Team Lead, Settlements, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their commitment to providing exceptional client service, attention to detail and a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as they arise.ResponsibilitiesCanadian, US, and International Equity and Fixed Income SettlementsUnderstanding of Buy‑in principles in Canada and the USManage Lending & Borrowing desk functions using LoanetWork closely with Middle Office and other operations groups to resolve transaction issues.Monitor and resolve exceptions, “breaks” (mismatches), investigate failsLiaise with counterparties, custody banks, internal groupsFails management: investigate failed trades, follow up / escape with brokers/custodiansIdentify settlement risk, manage failed trades,
follow up to reduce financial or reputational exposureGeneral administrative duties as assignedRequirementsStrong ability to prioritize job responsibilities and manage high volumes of transactions effectivelyPossesses a solid understanding of the subject matter and can work independently on most tasks within their function. Gained practical experience through previous roles.Excellent organizational and time‑management skillsGood analytical skills with strong attention to detailFlexible personality to take on new challenges as they ariseComplete tasks with minimal direction/supervisionProficiency with all Microsoft Office applicationsParticipate in process optimization and automation initiativesStrong analytical skills to support efficienciesExperience with Dataphile Broadridge, CDS and DTC applications is a definite asset3 to 5 years of experience in the financial industry preferred.
