VINCI Construction Grands Projets Canada, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction Grands Projets, part of the VINCI Group, a construction worldwide leader specialized in the design and construction of major civil engineering and building works in Canada, is hiring aSenior Scheduler .What is the project?The Pickering Nuclear Generating Station refurbishment program involves designing and building a new deep-water intake.Concretely, your tasks will be:Reporting to the Project Control Lead, the main duties are to structure and organize the schedule management on the project, to maintain and update the design schedule and to prepare and update the pre-construction and construction activities schedule.The position will therefore encompass participating in the following:Weekly and Monthly schedule progress reporting (progress update, weekly/monthly look-ahead)Develop and coordinate with all department (notably permitting, procurement and construction departments) the development of the execution scheduleIdentify scheduling conflicts and incompatibilities with the design and permitting scheduleProgressively baseline the pre-construction and construction schedules of early worksPrepare and communicate on the project’s weekly look-ahead scheduleProvide analysis of alternatives and mitigation measuresAct as the reference for all schedule-related matters on the projectMore specifically, they will be responsible for the following activities:Establish the project baseline schedule (definition and progressively for execution)Provide 3-weeks and 3-months look-ahead schedule of activities required to support the project (Definition and Execution) schedulePrepare,
develop and report on schedule KPIsIdentify and analyze risks and their potential impact on the scheduleOrganize and perform weekly schedule update and monthly reportingPreparation of the Execution Phase Schedule of the Project :Verify and adjust the Execution Phase schedule based on the progress of the design and permitting activities and evolving contractual requirementsCommunicate and coordinate with the various project departments the necessary evolutions to the pre-construction and construction activities schedule (Execution Phase Schedule)Prepare the Execution Phase Baseline ScheduleParticipate in risk management activities (identification of risks, incorporation of contingencies in the schedule etc.)Ensure the schedule is compliant with quality indicators and properly configured for baseliningPerform weekly and monthly schedule updates with the various project departments and provide reporting of evolution and variancesPerform analysis of What-If or alternative scenarios to support decision-makingCoordinate with the estimating, contract and cost control teams to ensure adequacy in the various project forecastsProfilSkills :Bachelor’s Degree in Project or Construction Management, Engineering, or another related field8-10 years experience in scheduling of design and construction projects7 years scheduling experience with Primavera P6Ability & understanding to fully utilize computer program Primavera P6Experience in developing logical sequencing of work, contract duration, phasingExperience in Schedule Analyzer and Microsoft ProjectProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointProject Management Professional (PMP) certification preferredHighly organized and detail oriented.

The headquarters of VINCI Construction Grands Projets Canada is based in Montréal, Québec. We are currently involved in two major construction projects in Ontario valued at several billion Canadian dollars.The construction of the subway line south in Toronto, involving a six-kilometer tunnel and associated excavation work. The project includes the design, construction, and handover of all tunnels (twin tubes of 6 km each), 7 stations (turnkey for: 1 at-grade station and 6 underground stations) and civil engineering works.Extension of the Confederation Line in Ottawa, one of the components of Phase 2 of the city's O-Train system, which includes the design, construction, and financing of 27.5 km of light rail infrastructure.
