SummaryThe Senior Cloud Solution Architect is a key contributor responsible for designing and guiding secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions that enable McKesson business units to achieve their strategic objectives. This role partners closely with technical and business stakeholders to drive cloud adoption while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with business units to understand goals, challenges, and technical requirements.Design cloud solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure and, where appropriate, AWS or GCP, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and performance.Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security frameworks, and compliance requirements.Guide business units through cloud onboarding and migration initiatives, acting as a trusted technical advisor.Conduct architecture assessments and optimization reviews for existing and proposed cloud implementations.Partner with enterprise architecture, cloud platform, operations, and governance teams to integrate solutions.Develop and maintain detailed solution architecture documentation.Support training and enablement activities to strengthen cloud capabilities across teams.Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovations and improvements.QualificationsDeep experience designing and delivering cloud‑native and hybrid cloud solutions in regulated environments.Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure; experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.Hands‑on experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.Solid understanding of enterprise security, governance,



and compliance frameworks.Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.Cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent are desirable.Minimum RequirementsDegree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.Preferable Skills & ExperienceExperience supporting large‑scale cloud migration programs.Exposure to healthcare or highly regulated industries.Experience working within enterprise cloud governance or shared services teams.CompensationWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
