About the Role

Kinetic Custom Trailers is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Buyer to join our team on site. This role is ideal for a purchasing qualified with strong manufacturing experience who can operate independently, build supplier relationships, and support a quick-paced production environment.

This position is a step above a traditional Buyer role and is intended for someone who brings both strategic purchasing capability and hands-on execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials, components, and services are sourced efficiently to support operational demands and company growth.

Key Responsibilities
Manage purchasing activities for production materials, components, and operational supplies
Develop and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreements
Monitor inventory levels and support production planning requirements
Work closely with operations, production, and project teams to ensure material availability
Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Track supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and reliability
Assist in forecasting and procurement planning for upcoming projects and workloads




Ensure purchasing activities align with company policies and production schedules

Required Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production flow
Experience sourcing fabricated components, industrial materials, or custom manufacturing parts
Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work on site in a rapid-paced and collaborative environment

What We Offer
Competitive Pay: $95,000 to $110,000 CAD, based on experience

Schedule & Work Details
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Location: On-site in Penticton, BC
Environment: Industrial manufacturing environment, shop floor and office.
