OverviewSeasonal Inventory Control Supervisor responsible for the coordination and management of all inventory control functions, including conducting daily cycle counts and comparing the client’s records to the NFI Distribution Center Warehouse Management System. This position typically reports to the Inventory Control Manager or General Manager of the facility.Shift: Monday – Friday, 7 a‑3:30 p. (Seasonal role, running through the beginning of October.)ResponsibilitiesInventory ControlOversee daily cycle counts, slot audits and reconciliation of activities between systems.Ensure customer requirements are accurately reported in a timely manner.Plan, execute, and reconcile physical inventories.Prepare analysis of adjustments activities reports.Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.Recommend initiatives and programs to improve inventory; lead those programs.Employee Relations / DevelopmentConduct daily pre‑shift meetings covering previous shift productivity, operational problems, forecasting workload and any other pertinent company information.Assist in developing programs to train and motivate personnel; oversee onboarding for new staff.Maintain good human resources practices with direct reports and adhere to corporate policies.Collaborate with Management and Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues, discipline actions, and terminations.Provide feedback, coaching, guidance, and recognition to enhance personnel skill development.Deliver hourly performance reviews and provide regular coaching.Maintain accurate time‑keeping records.Engage in self‑development by staying current on information, tools, and systems.Travel to other warehouses and participate in departmental or company meetings as necessary.Train Inventory Control team and provide ongoing staff training.Ensure timely reporting and communication to the appropriate staff.Oversee the entire Inventory Control department to guarantee procedures are followed properly and promptly.Attend industry‑related seminars and assist with projects as needed by the General Manager.Safety and SecurityEnsure safe, clean, and efficient warehouse operation to meet service standards.Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to maintain a safe work environment for all employees.Follow documented processes for reporting, analyzing, and following up on employee injuries and accidents.Ensure employees complete daily pre‑flight reviews.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or 1–5 years of supervisory experience.High School Diploma required.Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).Ability to work in a fast‑paced, frequently changing environment.Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.Experience or willingness to learn performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean/Six Sigma tools.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.Excellent verbal, non‑verbal, and written communication skills.Excellent customer service skills, specifically with external clients.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; may be required in somelocations.Availability for irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed by the customer.Physical ability to stand or walk for 10–12 hours, lift and move totes up to 50 lbs, bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below waist and above head. Facilities span about a quarter mile.Capacity to work in environments with varying noise, lighting, and temperature levels.Base salary: $62,400.00.
