Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces, measure ingredients) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Rotate to work every food station, as required Answer, report and follow Sous Chef instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Assist in training and supporting of all kitchen support staff Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Positive attitude and speech, willingness to teach or be taught, accepts criticism, is respectful and gives positive reinforcement Arrives on time, often covers others shifts or stations, within skill set and role, willingness to work additional shifts, if needed Able to effectively communicate and problem solve with colleagues Able to answer questions and give directions, within their scope. TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Takes initiative to do the duties of the dishwasher and prep cook when needed Regularly logs fridge temps, hot food temps and wastage Demonstrates ability to complete more advanced prep items Demonstrates ability to work all stations on the line during service Demonstrates full comprehension of food safety Proficient in operating tools and equipment WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL
Food Handlers Certificate Minimum 6 months experience in a similar position Culinary Certificate or similar an asset Required to work a rotating schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays Fine Dining experience an asset First Aid /CPR Certificate an asset WHAT WE OFFER
