trustworthiness and dependability when working independently in branch.Strong team‑work skills as well as the ability to work independently and with low supervision.Critical‑thinking skills.Administrative experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel.Reliable transportation (mileage is reimbursed).Current Standard First Aid with CPR‑C certificated within the last 12 months from an approved AB OHS provider. Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John’s Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol.Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search current within 1 year from any organization, with the ability to attain a current one directed to the YMCA Calgary within 3 months of starting.Three professional references.What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?Work 20 hours part‑time for the Outreach department at the Shawnessy YMCA, offering support and positive experiences for high school students and young adults aged 14‑25.Independently deliver daily after‑school sessions in‑person from September to June for youth and young adults (Tuesday to Saturday).Possibility to support yearly summer programming for youth during July and August, dependent on available hours.Adapt curriculum into daily lesson plans to meet student and young adult needs.Deliver programs that include sport, workshops, art programs etc.
