Advance Indigenous data sovereignty at the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy as a Research Associate. Collaborate with diverse communities to drive transformative research in health data governance. This full time position begins on October 1, 2026. You will work with Dr.

Amanda

Fowler-Woods and the HDRN Indigenous Data Team to develop strategies that promote Indigenous data governance.

Your role encompasses conducting literature reviews, writing academic papers, and engaging with community leaders to enhance data practices in health research. Key Responsibilities:
Implement strategic plans for Indigenous data initiatives
Engage community and academic partners in research
Conduct literature reviews on Indigenous governance practices
Prepare funding proposals for research projects
Organize and lead stakeholder meetings Requirements:
Doctorate or Master’s degree with relevant experience
Background in Indigenous health or data governance
Knowledge of Truth and Reconciliation principles
Solid analytical and writing skills
Excellent leadership and communication abilities Utilize your research expertise to uphold Indigenous data sovereignty and improve health policy outcomes.
