Initiates action when necessary to ensure the project is being built as specified in the scope of work. Provide construction engineering and technical support for the Electrical discipline.Principal Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlay an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed.Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability PoliciesRemain knowledgeable of requirements for applicable codes and and client standards on the projectReceive and distribute project design documents, often supervising the field engineering officeManage site survey and direct their daily activitiesAssist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawingsPerform surveillance/inspections, as required by site quality manual, to ensure that the Design / Quality objectives are being met for the projectReview and approve Construction Contractor technical submittalsPerform constructability assignments in the office, as requiredHelp coordinate system completion and system turnover with regard to start up activities for assigned systems.Provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of construction managers, superintendents, and contractors and provides specific expertise for problem solving activitiesPrepare material take-offs as well as initiate and prepare requisitions for the procurement of services, materials,



and equipment necessary to support the project schedule for all field initiated changes and material shortsEstablish and maintain effective communication between the company and the design engineer to ensure the timely flow of design documents and informationMaintain liaison with the company’s technical and construction support departments to provide the technical and construction engineering expertise required to support the projectRespond to RFI’s and Coordinate with Engineering office for changes which require change to design intentCoordinate the preparation and revision of technical work procedures consistent with project design and construction requirementsCertify general contractor prepared red-line drawings and information required for the preparation of as-built drawingsMaintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standardsSupport Quality on NCR dispositon and closureAssist contracts to develop WER for work release to ContractorsUnderground Ground disturbance permit coordinatorMaintain red line model of all existing and new underground utilities.Issue underground ground distrubance permit request with all existing utilities clearly marked.Coordinate with Survey to mark the underground utilities within the permit limit.Field walk the underground ground disturbance permit with consrutction superintenent responsible for the work.Close out underground ground disturbance permit once red lines have been incorporated in the DOW program level.Manage interface with DOW Job RepBasic Job RequirementsAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two to twelve (2-12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (6-16) years if non-degreedAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province,
