Job DescriptionCCC-7 is a 25 bed unit that provides support to clients who are 18+ experiencing the acute phase of a mental and/or addiction disorder. As a member of the inter‑professional team, you will provide holistic, client‑centred psychiatric nursing care. You will be able to work with clients from diverse populations; contribute to program development; participate in reflective practice sessions; facilitate group programming on the unit; provide mentorship and supervision to students; and participate in the research activities for the program.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, families and the interdisciplinary team.Demonstrate competency in monitoring, assessment and documentation for mental health and substance‑related disorders, trauma‑responsive behaviours, mental status and physical health assessments, and client response to pharmaceutical interventions.Demonstrate motivation to develop knowledge and skills of trauma‑informed care, culturally competent care, crisis intervention, mental health and addiction diagnoses and treatment modalities.Demonstrate motivation to develop group facilitation skills.Work 12‑hour day, evening,



night and weekend rotations at the Queen Street Site.QualificationsRegistered in positive standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.Current B.C.L.S.
