Job DescriptionAs a Mechanical Designer within the Property & Buildings team, you will design and deliver mechanical systems that support high‑performing, sustainable buildings. You will work closely with senior designers and engineers, support a diverse portfolio of building projects across multiple sectors, and coordinate the technical delivery of mechanical building systems from concept through construction.Your ImpactPrepare mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD and RevitSupport senior designers and engineers in the development of complete drawing packagesDesign HVAC, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems for building projectsPerform heating, ventilation, and cooling load calculationsSupport engineering calculations using relevant design tools and softwareCoordinate with project teams, external vendors, architects,



and engineersSupport project delivery through accurate documentation and technical coordinationParticipate in occasional local travel based on project requirementsThe Skills That Set You ApartDiploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field3–5 years of experience in BIM modelling and mechanical system designStrong working knowledge of AutoCAD and RevitExperience designing building mechanical systems (healthcare experience is an asset)Understanding of applicable building codes and standardsAbility to work independently under general supervision while contributing effectively within a team environmentStrong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesCompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 – $102,500MB & ON: $70,600 – $97,200NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $70,600 – $97,200DisclosureThe final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
