Job OverviewProfessional Lease Operator or Owner Operator Truck DriversLocation: Edmonton, ABCompensation: $275,000 - $320,000 per yearAdditional benefits: Pension $4.00/hr 100% paid, New Truck Credits up to $1620 per month, WCB Quarterly Credits $410.76, Paid Wait Time $50/hrSchedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, with scheduled home time. Year‑round work.ResponsibilitiesPerform pre‑trip, in‑route, and post‑trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety, roadworthiness, and regulatory compliance.Comply with applicable legislation including driver hours of service, occupational health and safety, and transportation of dangerous goods.Maintain accurate paperwork such as bills of lading and logs of working hours and vehicle service.Operate onboard technology, electronic logs, and vehicle communication equipment (CB radios, telephones).Handle cargo loading and secure loads, following safety practices and regulatory requirements.Maneuver the truck and trailer into loading or unloading positions; check proper positioning of loading equipment.Operate loading equipment as required.Inspect mobile equipment (e.G., frontend loaders) for mechanical and safety readiness.Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to supervisors.Report safety hazards at load, unload, yard, and shop sites.Provide feedback to supervisor/dispatch on customer,



mechanical, or delivery issues.Assist in loading and unloading of trucks and ensure materials are protected from the elements.Perform periodic inspections to confirm loads are secure and properly tarp if required.QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Valid Class 1 truck driver’s license.Driver’s abstract with no suspensions.Experience with Super B and mountain driving.Proven ability to drive in snow and chain tires when necessary.Robust communication skills, both verbally and written.Computer literate and basic understanding of vehicle and trailer maintenance.Self‑directed with little supervision; responsible, accountable, and dependable.Physical ability to move 100 pounds, lift 50 lbs overhead, lift to shoulder height 75 lbs, sit for long periods, and pass pre‑employment drug test.Professional and mature demeanor under stressful situations.Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.Embodies Arrow’s core values of Safety, Quality, Integrity, Responsibility, Teamwork, and Fun.Equal Opportunity StatementAs advocates of equal opportunity, we welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
