Assist families through the Talking Together program as a full time Program Facilitator at Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation in Timmins, ON. This role is centered around community-based solutions and traditional justice practices.
The Talking
Together program is aimed at helping families resolve issues using the Circle approach. The facilitator plays a crucial role in conducting these Circles and guiding families toward positive outcomes. Candidates should ideally have a background in social work, excellent communication skills, and experience within First Nation communities. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and facilitate family Circles for resolution
Empower participants through a traditional justice lens
Engage in effective communication across diverse audiences
Travel to the James Bay Area for program activities
Employ MS Office software for documentation and communication Requirements:
Minimum secondary school diploma with related experience
Preferred post-secondary degree in relevant fields
Knowledge of legal processes desirable
Familiarity with NAN and First Nations cultures
Proficiency in using office technologies Engage actively in facilitating family discussions and resolutions with Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation's Talking Together program.
