Friel Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced Licensed HVAC Technician to join our growing New Home Division.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well as part of a team, and can help ensure our new home installations are completed properly, efficiently, and to Friel standards.

The Position

As a Licensed Technician in our New Home Division, you will work primarily on residential new construction projects throughout the Quinte and surrounding area.

Responsibilities include

- Installing, commissioning, and starting up furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, HRVs and related HVAC equipment
- Completing gas piping and final equipment connections
- Troubleshooting and correcting installation or equipment issues
- Ensuring installations meet applicable codes, manufacturer specifications and Friel installation standards
- Performing quality-control checks on completed installations
- Working closely with our New Home Manager, installation crews, builders and other trades
- Completing required job documentation and commissioning/start-up information
- Helping keep projects on schedule
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional jobsite
- Representing Friel professionally when working with builders and homeowners

What We’re Looking For
- Valid G2 Gas Technician licence required
- 313D or 313A licence is a strong asset




- Residential HVAC installation and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with new residential construction is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and installation practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Robust attention to detail and workmanship
- Dependable, organized and professional
