Contribute to the educational journey of students in PLSC 335 as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan. Engage in marking, demonstrations, and consultations throughout the Fall term.
This Teaching
Assistant position offers an excellent chance for graduate students to assist with the Field Crop Disease Management course from September to December 2026.
Your role will involve working closely with students to explain plant disease symptoms, grading assessments, supervising exams, and meeting with Dr. H.R. Kutcher to ensure effective course delivery. Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate symptoms of plant diseases to enhance learning
Mark student presentations and assign grades for exams
Consult regularly with students for academic support
Ensure exam integrity through effective invigilation
Collaborate with the course instructor for coherent education Requirements:
B.Sc. degree in Biological Sciences or related field
Enrollment in a graduate program is necessary
Teaching experience preferred, but not essential
Complete 50 hours of service in the term
Robust organizational and communication abilities Be a vital part of educating future Plant Scientists at the University of Saskatchewan.
