As part of the Turner Construction family, we offer the personalised culture of a local team with the strength of a global leader.Position TitleCarpenter at Clark Builders, Kamloops, BC.Position DescriptionThis role is responsible for the protected construction of structures on a commercial site and reports to a Foreman or Superintendent.ResponsibilitiesErect, install, and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.Build footings, walls, column forms, slab forms, stair forms, and parapets.Read and interpret drawings and/or receive instructions from a supervisor.Carry out a variety of carpentry services, including backing, blocking, framing, installation, and other general carpentry.Install precast units, framing systems, sheathing, exterior trims, interior/exterior doors and hardware, windows, flooring, wall coverings, washroom accessories,



and architectural materials.Execute work with minimal supervision while working alongside a team and other sub‑trades to complete projects.Perform other construction‑related duties as assigned.Maintain a clean construction site.Maintain a daily log of tasks and hazard assessment cards.Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.Skills and KnowledgePhysical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive motions, bending, crouching, and kneeling for long periods.Capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season.Ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Apprenticeship training or Journeyperson certificate.Must have concrete form work experience.QualificationsExperience working in commercial/industrial construction is considered an asset.Valid first aid certificate is an asset.Valid ESC Fall Protection, SiteReadyBC, and WHMIS 2015 certificates are assets.BenefitsCompetitive wages and vacation pay.
