We hire skilled tradespeople who value safety, quality, and growth opportunities.Role SummaryWe are seeking a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician to join our team on various construction projects. The Instrumentation Journeyman is committed to delivering safe, high-quality work that meets and exceeds client expectations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, and customer satisfaction, along with proven experience producing accurate, detail‑oriented work in support of client needs.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, test, and calibrate industrial instrumentation, electrical, and control systems, including continuous emissions monitoring (CEMS)Perform installation and calibration of process control instrumentation such as transmitters, analyzers, control valves, controllers, PLCs, and protective relaysSupport and maintain power generation and industrial equipment, including gas turbines, generators, and plant auxiliary systemsRead and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, control system drawings, manuals, and technical documentationCoordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering teams, and external contractors during installations, start‑ups, and shutdownsCommunicate equipment condition, safety concerns, and job status clearly to operations and supervisionPerform all work in compliance with Health & Safety standards, OHS regulations,
and company policiesOther duties as requiredQualifications / RequirementsJourneyman Instrumentation Technician certificate; Red Seal Instrumentation Technician certification preferredStrong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, electrical principles, voltage/current relationshipsExperience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems (programming and troubleshooting)Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDsValid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP/EMP, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020 licensesExperience in gas plants, power plants, or industrial manufacturing environmentsProficient with test and calibration equipment (multimeters, loop calibrators, oscilloscopes)Skilled using hand tools and electrical tools for installation and maintenanceStrong communication, documentation, and teamwork skillsFlexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self‑directionValid Driver's LicenceCompensation & BenefitsRate: $44 per hourShift: 14 on and 7 off, 10 hour daysTravel Allowance: 4 hours paid travelAccommodations: Camp providedOvertime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rateComprehensive extended health benefits after 3 months, including dental and vision coverage, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and mental health supportRetirement savings plan with employer matchingEmployee Referral Bonus Program, offering up to $1,000 per successful referral#J-18808-Ljbffr
