OverviewThe OpportunityI’m partnering with a well-established, Ontario-based engineering consultancy with a strong presence across land development, infrastructure, and construction projects. They’re looking to hire a Project Manager within their Geotechnical group, supporting a wide range of public and private sector clients. This is a leadership-oriented role suited for someone who enjoys balancing technical expertise with team oversight — managing projects from investigation through design and construction, while mentoring staff and contributing to business growth.What You'll Be DoingLeading the planning, design, and execution of geotechnical projects ranging from small studies to large-scale developmentsCoordinating with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to deliver practical, compliant solutionsMentoring and supporting a team of engineers, technologists, and technical staffContributing to annual planning, forecasting, and longer-term strategic initiativesMonitoring project performance, budgets, and timelines,
adjusting priorities as needed to meet targetsBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying recent business opportunitiesPreparing high-quality proposals, reports, and technical documentationOverseeing invoicing and ensuring overall financial performance of projectsActing as a senior technical reviewer and/or stamping engineer where requiredEnsuring adherence to internal standards, policies, and quality expectationsWhat You 'll Need To Be SuccessfulBachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario7+ years of consulting experience, including at least 5 years in a Project Management capacityStrong technical background in geotechnical engineering (e.G., subsurface investigations, foundation design, slope stability)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writingProficiency with MS Office and industry-related software (e.G., AutoCAD, geotechnical analysis tools)Proven ability to manage multiple projectsCompensation Range:$120,000 - $130,000#J-18808-Ljbffr
