Job DescriptionThe Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are achieved. This role oversees production teams in a quick‑paced manufacturing environment with a strong focus on optics, electronics assembly, continuous improvement, and customer compliance standards including IPC and/or NASA requirements. You will be reporting to Sr Material Management Manager and you’ll work onsite at Cambridge, ON.ResponsibilitiesProduction & OperationsSupervise daily production activities to meet schedule attainment and customer delivery requirementsMonitor throughput, labor utilization, efficiency, and productivity metricsCoordinate staffing and workflow to support changing production demandsSupport build planning, line balancing, and capacity alignmentDrive plan vs. actual performance tracking and corrective actionsEnsure adherence to quality standards and manufacturing proceduresLeadership & Team ManagementLead, coach, and develop production employees and team leadsIdentify and train the Supervisor Successor of ‘tomorrow’Conduct performance reviews, training, and employee development plansPromote accountability, teamwork, and a positive workplace cultureSupport conflict resolution and employee engagement initiativesEnsure compliance with company policies and health & safety standardsQuality & Technical OversightSupport production of electronic and/or optical assembliesEnsure compliance with IPC standards and customer specificationsWork closely with Quality, Engineering,
and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issuesParticipate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementationMaintain documentation and traceability requirements for regulated manufacturing environmentsContinuous ImprovementDrive Lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S activitiesIdentify opportunities for waste reduction and process optimizationLead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and costSupport visual management and KPI tracking on the production floorSite Training SupervisorEnsure compliance with IPC standards through the site’s Certification Training Plan, including the skills MatrixManage IPC trainers/training certifications and arrange onsite re‑certificationsManage any new training opportunities (e.G., NASA certs)QualificationsThe Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.MUST HAVEDiploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related technical field.Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in an operations or a clean room production laboratory environment.Minimum 3 years of experience working with IPC standards and/or NASA quality requirements.WE VALUEExperience in electronics and/or optics manufacturing preferredExperience with high‑mix,
low‑volume or regulated production environments considered an assetKnowledge of electronics manufacturing processesUnderstanding of optical assembly and inspection processes preferredFamiliarity with IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑01, ESD controls, Quality systems and Traceability requirementsAbility to read technical drawings, BOMs, and work instructionsERP/MRP system experience preferredStrong Microsoft Excel and reporting skillsStrong leadership and team‑building capabilitiesExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environmentStrong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilitiesExperience leading cross‑functional teamsPreferred Certifications & TrainingLean Manufacturing Certification5S Training / CertificationIPC Certification (IPC‑A‑610 and/or J‑STD‑01)NASA workmanship standards experienceSupervisory or Management CoursesContinuous Improvement / Six Sigma training considered an assetThe annual base salary range for this position is $70,100 to $100,000 in Cambridge, Ontario.
