Step into an impactful role as an Occupational Therapist at Boyle Street Community Services in Edmonton, Alberta. This full time position integrates client-centered care with community engagement. As part of the Interdisciplinary Team, your role will involve assessing and supporting clients’ occupational needs.
You will lead therapeutic groups focused on life skills and collaborate on personal care plans while connecting clients to vital community resources. Your dedication to harm reduction and trauma-informed care will help shape holistic support for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, you will mentor OT students from the University of Alberta, fostering their development in community-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide thorough occupational assessments and care planning
Lead educational and life skills groups for clientele
Facilitate access to healthcare and housing resources
Uphold high skilled standards in documentation
Participate in community outreach and support initiatives Requirements:
Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
Minimum 1-year experience in the occupational therapy field
Familiarity with Indigenous culture and related ceremonies is an asset
Solid judgment and organizational capabilities
