This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Controller to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be based out of ourCalgary, ABoffice.The Project Controller is a key team member whose overarching objective is to support the project by establishing a clear and connected flow of information from Operations to Accounting by means of both systems and processes. This team member will be billable to the project whenever possible and will be accounted for at the time of project estimation. Each Project Controller is to support 2 Phasor divisions.Responsibilities by AreaProject SetupAct as the critical linkage that allows for a project to be set up in JDE based on information provided in Project PulseAct as the gatekeeper allowing projects to go live and ensure that all critical features of project setups are populated prior to migrating the data to JDE and allowing timesheet chargesHave a cursory understanding of the work being performed and walk through theWO/WBS/budgetsSchedule of values and invoicing termsForce Account RatesContract typesProject Information housed in Project PulsePerform the actual setup of the project in JDE and ensure 100% alignment in Project PulseCreate project folder structure (Currently in Data3, in future likely Sharepoint)Accounts Payable (AP)Perform QA on data validity between Project Pulse and JDECorrect transaction amounts, markups, dates, and allocationsCoordinate with procurement and AP for revisionsReview receiving reports and flag any budgetary issues on weekly variance summaries to PMsAccounts Receivable (AR)Generate and prepare client invoices via Project Pulse as per invoicing terms and PM directionGenerate invoice reference from JDE and apply to Project Pulse Invoice; critical for exporting PDFs for client submittalTrack billing milestones and contract payment termsFollow up on outstanding receivables and elevate to PM as neededPurchase OrdersTrack purchase order status and align them with project budgets and cost code allocationAssist with reconciliation of PO commitments vs actuals to reduce values when N/AEnsure proper approval workflows are followed and flag any budgetary issues on weekly variance summaries to PMsReview and maintain the Goods Received Not Vouchered accountProject Updates / Trend AnalysisUpon PM progress collection, payroll posting, and 3rd party cost migration, highlight variances and coordinate with PMs for corrective actionsPerform trend analysis based on burn rates, month/month changes, and hypothetical scenario analysisHighlight areas of clear trend directionChange ManagementMonitor and document project scope changes in change log as support to Project ManagerSet up new cost codes and/or work orders to facilitate tracking with compliance to our WBS and system requirementsCoordinate the move of timesheets to correct cost codes as support to PMUpdate current budgets as changes are approved by clientRequirements5 plus years experience in a similar roleExperience working in the electrical utilities space in North AmericaSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIT Services and IT ConsultingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Phasor Engineering Inc by 2x#J-18808-Ljbffr
