The mandate of the Credit Management & Bank Operations department of Canadian Tire Bank is to provide world class analytics to maximize our credit card portfolio profitability by balancing risk with reward potential.What youu2019ll doThe Credit Risk Strategist position reports to the Manager, Late Stage Customer Management. The position is responsible for the development of credit risk strategies, customer segmentations & providing quality analytics required to build, execute & refine strategies.Participate in the complete life cycle of credit risk management, including data mining, model building, decision optimization, strategy development & implementationDevelop, manage and monitor credit risk strategies related to account management and collectionsMonitor strategy effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve strategy performancePerform quantitative analysis on the CTB portfolio and translate results into actionable recommendationsFoster relationships with internal business partners to develop a thorough understanding of the business & ensure that Credit Risk interests are addressed in collaborative projectsFormulate plans to address customer needs, in the form of authorization decisions, reinstatement strategies, card reissuance, collections tactics and other related maintenance analytics.Prioritize & manage multiple work assignments in a changing business environment to ensure that projects are implemented on time & with qualityEnsure audit & compliance requirements are maintained and continuously improvedWhat you bringUniversity degree in a quantitative discipline, Mathematics, Statistics, preferredDemonstrated analytical,
mathematical and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to program in pertinent languages, including SAS, SQL, PythonProven ability to translate business needs into statistically sound solutions, and vice versaBig picture thinking: Ability to step back and understand impacts on a larger scale and explain complex analytical recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong written and oral communication skills when presenting results to business stakeholdersKnowledge of the credit card lifecycle & credit risk management is preferredKnowledge of TSYS, TRIAD & BLAZE is an assetWeu2019re always looking for great talent!
