The role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or one of our Community Hubs in Montreal, Toronto, Brossard, Laval, Kitchener‑Waterloo, or Quebec City. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.Compensation:Underwriter 16– salaries typically range from $74,297 to $99,063 annually, based on qualifications and experience, plus a performance‑based incentive.Team & Job OverviewEDC’s Mid‑Market Lending (MML) Program is regionally delivered and aligned with EDC’s 2030 Mid‑Market Segment Strategy. The program provides senior and junior debt solutions to eligible Canadian companies seeking to expand internationally and grow their export revenues. The Senior Analyst supports the origination, underwriting, execution, and ongoing management of senior and junior debt transactions and the associated loan portfolio.What You Will Be DoingSupport senior team members in evaluating, triaging, and progressing new financing opportunities in line with program objectives and risk appetite.Assist with financial analysis, credit assessment, and deal structuring to contribute to transaction execution.Prepare financial models, cash‑flow analyses, and supporting materials for new transactions and portfolio reviews.Assist with due diligence activities, including financial, legal,



and business assessments.Draft sections of credit memoranda and supporting documentation for internal governance and decision‑making committees.Coordinate with internal partners such as Legal, Business Development, Finance, and Advisory teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.Monitor and manage a portfolio of existing assets, including covenant tracking and risk monitoring.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)High‑quality analytical contribution to senior and junior debt transactions across multiple sectors.Timely and accurate financial analysis, modeling, and credit documentation.Effective collaboration with Financing Managers and internal stakeholders to support efficient transaction execution.Proactive support in monitoring portfolio performance and identifying emerging risks.Positive feedback from team members and internal partners regarding reliability, analytical rigor, and professionalism.What We Are Looking ForUndergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.Approximately 2‑3+ years of relevant experience in corporate lending, structured finance, credit analysis, investment banking, or a related field.Demonstrated foundational experience in financial analysis, credit assessment, and financial modeling.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely.Detail‑oriented, cooperative, and eager to learn within a team‑based transaction environment.For roles based in Quebec, bilingualism (English/French) is mandatory. For roles located in Ontario, bilingualism (English/French)
