Kitchen Staff / CashierJob Summary

We are seeking energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Kitchen Staff/Cashiers to join our fast-paced food service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking customer orders, processing payments, preparing and assembling food, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.

This position requires someone who can work quickly and accurately in a busy fast-food environment, communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, and maintain a positive attitude during high-volume periods.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, both in person and through the restaurant ordering system.
- Provide friendly, professional, and welcoming customer service.
- Process cash, debit, credit, and other payments accurately.
- Prepare and assemble food orders according to established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and presented properly before serving customers.
- Assist with cooking, food preparation, and meal assembly during busy periods.
- Maintain a rapid and efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Answer customer questions regarding menu items and assist with special requests when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, front counter, dining area, food preparation stations, utensils, and storage areas.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Monitor food and ingredient levels and restock supplies as required.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and equipment preparation.
- Follow all company policies, health regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team and assist coworkers when needed.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and notify a supervisor when additional assistance is required.
- Perform other restaurant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications




- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a fast-food or quick-service restaurant environment is required.
- Strong experience with customer order taking and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to take orders quickly and accurately, especially during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Previous experience handling cash and processing customer payments.
- Knowledge of food preparation and food safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain order accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities during peak hours.
- Positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with restaurant work.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with POS systems and online food-ordering platforms.
- Food safety certification is an asset.
- Experience working in a high-volume fast-food restaurant.
- Experience handling customer complaints and resolving service issues.
- Knowledge of basic cooking and food preparation procedures.
