Deliver compassionate care as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Oncology-Palliative Unit at North York General Hospital. This part time role focuses on patient-centered care while engaging with a multi-disciplinary team. In this challenging role, you will provide excellent patient and family-driven care within a culturally sensitive framework.
You'll collaborate with a dedicated team to assess, educate, and maintain patient health. Prioritizing health and safety, you will foster relationships across the organization, contributing to a supportive workplace for patients and staff alike. Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient care adhering to nursing practice guidelines
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Prioritize tasks based on patient needs and assessments
Manage transfers, lifts, and ensure safety procedures
Engage in career development and quality improvement Requirements:
Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized college
Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current Medication Certificate
One year experience in Medicine/General Surgery preferred
