Become a Martial Arts Program Leader with the City of Markham, leading creative classes in Tai Chi, Taekwondo, and Karate. Create engaging, protected, and structured learning experiences for community members. This role is pivotal for those with a robust background in martial arts and a passion for teaching.
As a temporary leader, you will craft lesson plans, facilitate training sessions during evenings and weekends, and ensure compliance with safety measures. Your leadership will directly impact the students and the community's engagement. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise martial arts programs, including Tai Chi, Taekwondo, and Karate
Design lesson plans according to participant skill levels
Organize and maintain program materials and equipment
Track attendance and address participant needs
Ensure safety standards are consistently met Requirements:
High School Diploma; post-secondary education valued
Over 3 years of teaching martial arts experience
Current First Aid certification with CPR and AED
Excellent communication and leadership competences
Membership in the Ontario Martial Arts Association Join the City of Markham as you inspire and develop martial arts skills in a variety of participants.
