Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!Here’s where you come in…We are looking for a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for leading the maintenance function to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities. This role provides strategic direction, drives proactive preventive maintenance, and builds strong partnerships with Machine Operators, Engineering, and Operations. The successful candidate will lead and develop the maintenance team, support onboarding of complex new machinery, and ensure maintenance practices align with operational and business objectives.Position Responsibilities:Leadership & People ManagementLead, coach, and develop the maintenance team in alignment with CMI valuesBuild strong followership and a positive, accountable work environmentOversee hiring, performance management, development planning, and successionEnsure compliance with health, safety, attendance,



and conduct standardsMaintenance Strategy & OperationsDevelop and execute proactive preventive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and uptimePartner closely with Machine Operators to support safe and efficient operationsLead onboarding and integration of complex new machinery in collaboration with EngineeringOversee maintenance of equipment, facilities, infrastructure, and vehicle fleetsCoordinate internal and external maintenance resources, contractors, and service providersFinancial & Strategic OversightEstablish departmental goals, KPIs, and performance metricsDevelop and manage departmental budgets, capital planning, and cost controlOptimize asset utilization and eliminate waste and non–value-added activitiesSafety & Environmental ComplianceEnsure all equipment is maintained and operated safely and in compliance with legislation and company policiesEnforce PPE usage, contractor compliance, and visitor safety requirementsSupport environmental compliance, including site and stormwater systemsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and service qualitySkills/Knowledge/Experience required to perform the job:Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field is considered an asset5- 7 years of previous experience in a maintenance supervisory or management positionStrong technical knowledge of maintenance operations and preventive maintenance systemsProven leadership, communication,
