DescriptionCircuit Stream is a leader in future technology training and learning content. Our mission is to help expand the future technology creator space. We do this by building world-class educational services that focus on making it easier for people and organizations around the world to learn the skills needed to leverage the technology space.We are looking for a skilled career coach who is comfortable working part-time as a freelance contractor. The ideal candidate will be interested in flexible hours, be able to work part-time (average 20 hours per week).We’re looking for experienced Career Coaches to join us in anauxiliary, on-call capacity. This role is designed for professionals who are open to flexible, ad-hoc work and can step in to support our students when our core coaching team is unavailable.This is not a guaranteed-hours role. Coaches will be contacted based on business needs and availability, with opportunities to support workshops, 1:1 sessions, and student feedback on astandby basis .This position will be based remotely (work from home) preferably in Vancouver or Toronto, with a good understanding of the job market and trends in the tech industry.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide regular updates to the Talent & Outcomes team in Calgary, sharing insights on individual student goals and progress to ensure a seamless job seeking experience.Facilitate career-based labs/workshop that support student success and job readiness in the tech industry.Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to students, helping them identify their career aspirations, defining action plans, and unlocking their potential.Provide personalized assignment feedback including goals/roadmap, LinkedIn profile optimization, portfolio guidance,
resume and cover letter review, mock interview preparation, pitch day demo and elevator pitch review and guidance, and other customized career support as needed.Build and maintain strong relationships with job-seeking students, providing regular check-ins and updates to support their job search progress.Role RequirementsBachelor’s degree in human resources, business, communication, etc.3+ years of experience in career coaching, mentoring, or advising, preferably in a training or education institution environment.Strong knowledge of in-job search strategies and soft skills required for success.A professional career coaching certification would be an asset.An understanding of various subsets of the tech industry and related career paths would be an asset.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with students and provide effective coaching and mentoring.Comfortable with rate of $40 per hour and able to enter into a part-time freelance/contractor on-call agreement.Hours are not guaranteed; scheduled based on need.Must be open to occasional afternoon/evening sessions (including potential Wednesday evening workshops).Who This Role Is Excellent ForCareer coaches looking forflexible, supplemental work .Professionals who enjoymentoring but don’t want fixed weekly hours .Coaches comfortable stepping into an existing student journey and making an immediate impact.Core CompetenciesDemonstrates cross-cultural agility.Approachable and easy to talk to.Displays strong customer focus.Is results driven, and has a goal-oriented mindset.Organizes effectively.Solves problems effectively.Writes and communicates effectively for a variety of audiences.#J-18808-Ljbffr
