Drive compliance and enforcement as Legal Counsel at the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) in Ontario. This permanent, full time role seeks individuals passionate about law in the home construction sector.

As Legal

Counsel, you will assess inspections, manage litigation, and provide legal opinions on enforcement actions. Daily tasks involve drafting pleadings, supporting policy initiatives, and guiding internal stakeholders through complex legal issues. Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and representation for HCRA’s enforcement program
Draft pleadings and legal motions with precision




Represent HCRA at legal proceedings like the Licence Appeal Tribunal
Conduct research on legislative and regulatory developments
Collaborate with project teams on compliance and policy matters Requirements:
Called to the Bar of Ontario, in positive standing
Minimum three years of post-call legal experience
Solid litigation background, including trial experience
Familiarity with regulatory enforcement matters
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Join HCRA and contribute to maintaining high professional standards in Ontario's home construction industry.
