Kris Atelier is seeking a talented, professional and client-focused Licensed Hairstylist to join our team in Mississauga.

The successful candidate will have strong technical hairstyling abilities, excellent consultation skills and a commitment to providing a premium client experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct professional consultations with clients.
- Provide hair cutting and styling services.
- Provide blow-dry and finishing services.
- Perform colouring and lightening services within demonstrated competency.
- Perform highlights, balayage and related colour techniques where qualified.
- Provide chemical treatments within training and professional competency.
- Recommend appropriate hair treatments and products.
- Maintain accurate service and client information as required.
- Support client retention and rebooking.
- Maintain professional workstation cleanliness and sanitation.
- Follow infection-prevention, health and safety procedures.
- Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
- Support salon service, quality and sales standards.

Mandatory Ontario Trade Requirement Hairstylist is a compulsory trade in Ontario.

Applicants must be legally authorized to practise the Hairstylist trade in Ontario by holding an applicable:

- Certificate of Qualification;
- Provisional Certificate of Qualification; or
- Registered Training Agreement,

and must meet applicable Skilled Trades Ontario requirements. Kris Atelier will verify required authorization through the appropriate Skilled Trades Ontario process before affected hairstyling duties are assigned.

Required Qualifications





- Valid Ontario authorization to practise the Hairstylist compulsory trade.
- Professional hairstyling experience.
- Demonstrated cutting and styling ability.
- Strong client consultation skills.
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safe salon practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a qualified salon environment.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Preferred Skills Experience in one or more of the following is an asset:
- Advanced colouring
- Highlights
- Balayage
- Blowouts
- Hair treatments
- Hair extensions
- Bridal/event styling
- Men's grooming
- Curly/textured hair services

Canadian experience is not required. Portfolio A professional portfolio or work sample is required.

Applicants may submit examples of relevant professional work demonstrating technical abilities.

Schedule

Full-time position with availability based on client and business demand.

Expected availability may include weekdays, evenings and weekends.
