We are seeking experienced Formwork Carpenter Apprentices & Journeypersons with industrial experience who will be integral to our project's success.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpreting and applying information found in drawings and specifications.Undertaking layout work, selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, measuring and marking materials.Preparing, erecting, and removing structural formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns, beams, and shafts.Cutting and shaping materials and joining them with nails, screws, bolts, or glue.Checking completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb and the correct size, shape, and location.Performing general carpentry such as framing, hoarding, doors, frames,



and other assigned activities.Mentoring apprentices and overseeing their safety.Requirements and ExperienceCSTS-20 CertificateExperience as a Formwork Carpenter in an industrial construction environment.Ticketed carpenteres or indentured apprentices.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.Robust understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.Fluency in English, both written and verbal.Project:DOW FSP2ZRate:$29.63 to $49.38 per hourOvertime:as per the Collective AgreementSchedule:5x2, 6am start, 10 hours/dayCamp:N/ACandidates may be required to complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen and/or criminal record check.Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion, and belonging within and across our organization.
