Our team of environmental technicians, scientists, project managers, and technical experts specializes in health and safety, Phase I and II ESAs, risk assessment, and remediation. With a consistent 9–12‑month project backlog, we offer stability, variety, and strong growth opportunities. Our projects span coast‑to‑coast and range in size and complexity, requiring efficient field execution and close collaboration.As our team continues to grow, we have a new opportunity for an Environmental Scientist with a minimum of three years of experience in the contaminated‑sites regulatory framework to support remediation programs across Canada’s Northern Territories. This role includes planning and delivering two annual field programmes, participating in fieldwork, and preparing follow‑up technical reports. You’ll work as part of a close‑knit team while benefiting from the scale of a national organization—access to deep technical expertise, dedicated mentorship, career progression, and employee resource groups.Your ImpactParticipate in a team setting, working closely with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads,



and Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers.Prepare Health and Safety plans and Emergency response plans for field programmes.Train junior staff in environmental practices, including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediation, and on‑site specific health and safety.Compile data and write reports, including preparing conclusions and recommendations.Support other members of the RPM Team in sharing health and safety, project management, project completion, and client service responsibilities.Work in the field at remote locations during two field programmes (winter and summer). Shift patterns of approximately two weeks on and two weeks off for up to three shifts.The Skills That Set You ApartUniversity degree or diploma in engineering, or natural/earth sciences.Minimum three years of field experience in contaminated site assessments.Experience working in remote locations and/or camp settings; experience in theterritories is a strong asset.Sound understanding of health and safety procedures in the workplace and a safety‑conscious attitude.Strong field experience and willingness to work as a team in remote settings.Technical ability to troubleshoot and brainstorm to ensure environmental data collected meet project objectives.Professional designation or a professional in training is preferred.CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $69,700 – $92,300MB & ON: $63,600 – $87,500NB, NL,



NS, PEI & QC: $62,900 – $83,600The final salary awarded for this role may vary within the above range based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
