Local City Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Local City Driver to handle local pickup and delivery operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

- Pick up shipments from customers and transport them to the company yard.

- Deliver outbound shipments from the yard to local customers.

- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and properly document any defects or concerns.

- Ensure the vehicle is operated in compliance with all applicable safety regulations, transportation laws, and company policies.

- Follow Hours of Service, load securement, and other applicable commercial vehicle safety requirements.

- Ensure freight is properly loaded, secured, and handled safely during transport.

- Immediately report vehicle defects, accidents, safety concerns,



or compliance issues to management or dispatch.

- Complete required paperwork, logs, and delivery documentation accurately and on time.

- Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers, dispatch, and yard personnel.

- Maintain a clean, secure, and professional company vehicle.

Qualifications

- Valid Ontario AZ Driver’s Licence is required.

- Clean and acceptable driving record.

- Previous local pickup, delivery, or freight experience preferred.

- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle safety requirements and regulations.

- Strong reliability, time-management, and customer-service skills.

- Ability to safely handle and secure freight as required.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
