United Chemical Services is seeking an experienced long-haul class 1 driver & laborer to fulfill a full-time position for the facility located in Selkirk, MB.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Dependent on time of departure, possible weekend layover
- Warehouse hours Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM
In between long-haul trips, drivers will be expected to fulfill general labor tasks.
Examples of Responsibilities
Long-Haul Driver: Loading and unloading vehicles, safely hauling all materials to destination and keeping a proper documented record of mileage, duties, fuel and stops.
General Labor: Painting drums, hazardous waste and metal segregation, daily yard cleaning and maintenance.
Routes: Drivers will be travelling on various routes throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario, Northern Ontario.
Rate of Pay
Long-Haul Driver: Paid on a rate per mile basis
- Additionally,
drivers will be paid a flat rate for the second drop off and pick up
- An enhanced flat rate will be paid for the third drop off and pick up
General Labor: Compensation will be paid at an hourly rate Truck Model: Drivers will be operating a Volvo truck paired with a 53" trailer. They also will be operating a tanker.
Available Benefits: Advantages will include a group benefits plan, as well as a continuing RRSP plan.
Candidate Profile: Candidates must have minimum of 2 years of experience as well as a clean and valid class 1 driving record. Drivers must also hold a TDG & WHMIS certification (training will be provided as necessary).
