They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.IntroductionRobertson is seeking a skilled Minor War and Auxiliary Vessel (MWAV) Electrical Engineer to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.Contract Period:12 months with potential to extend or convertPay Rate:Starting from $50 per hourLocation:Halifax, NSLocation Type:HybridBusiness Hours:Monday-Friday; 9:00 AM – 3:00 PMJob ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and reviewing electrical and electronic system technical documentation including equipment specifications, installation and maintenance job instructionsPerforming Life Cycle and Materiel Management functions including but not limited to investigating equipment obsolescence and material compatibility issues, and disposal managementProviding technical support of deficiencies of equipment or capabilityConducting technical investigations into problems associated with electrical system, equipment and/or software issues, including root cause analyses, risk assessments and solution developmentManage the preparation of electrical design change documentation including manufacturing drawings, maintenance and installation instructions, and test and trials documentationAnalysing requirements associated with baseline changes to the ship’s configuration, equipment and softwareConducting electrical load design calculationsPreparing Work Packages and cost estimatesPreparing documented work scopes, suitable for the solicitation of quotations from external resources such as Original Equipment Manufacturers, manufacturers, suppliers,



testing facilities or specialist service providersDeveloping engineering plans, processes and procedures related to combat systems as well as ship-based softwareDefining, developing and maintaining software configuration documentationExperience & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics EngineeringMinimum 5 years of demonstrated qualified marine work experience within the last 10 yearsPrevious experience with the Royal Navy or Coast GuardExperience in delivering marine in-service support of operational assetsExperience working within a defence contractDemonstrated project management experiencePrevious experience of the MWAV MIS (Isherwood) and Work Estimate Action Forms (WEAF) processFamiliar with project management tools such as JiraFrench language understandingBackground screeningis required as part of the onboarding process.
