OverviewJob Title:Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (Band 7) – Temporary posts to cover maternity leavesOrganisation:South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust (Calderdale Core Team)Location:Laura Mitchell Health and Wellbeing Centre, Great Albion Street, Halifax, HX1 1YRContract:Fixed term, 10 months; Full-time with flexibleworkingSalary:£49,387 to £56,515 per year pro rataWorking pattern:Full time, Flexible workingJob ResponsibilitiesProvide specialist clinical psychology skills within a multidisciplinary team and deliver a high quality clinical service to service users.Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention; work collaboratively with non-psychologist colleagues, professionals from other agencies and carers.Offer consultation, supervision and training to other agencies involved in psychological, emotional and behavioural well‑being.Attend to clinical governance: supervision from a senior Clinical Psychologist and adherence to professional guidelines, Trust and National policies.Support Assistant Psychologists and Doctoral trainees; contribute to audit,



service development and research relevant to the post.Utilise psychometric testing appropriate to the age range and provide specialist risk assessment and intervention as required.Follow Adult and Child Protection guidelines; liaise with the wider professional network in care of the client; work with the team to deliver appropriate clinical services to people and families.Engage in continuing professional development in line with personal development plans and agreed targets.Key RequirementsEssential:Honours degree in Psychology; Doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology; registered with HCPC asClinical or Counselling Psychologist; appropriate safeguarding training.Essential:Completion of supervised clinical practice in the NHS; ability to work within two models of psychological assessment, formulation and intervention; proficient in relevant IT; good communication skills; ability to travelwithin the Trust as appropriate.Desirable:Experience with adults with complex psychological problems; experience with different theoretical approaches; experience working withother disciplines; experience with people who have disabilities; 2:1 minimum classification; eligible for chartered status; research skills; knowledge of adult and child protection legislation; awareness of legislation relevant to clinical practice.Other InformationWe encourage applications from all protected characteristic groups; the Trust values diversity and aims for workforce reflectiveness.The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.We reserve the right to close the vacancy earlier than the advertised closing date.#J-18808-Ljbffr
