Take on a pivotal role as the Privacy Program Leader at Nova Scotia Power. This senior position focuses on enhancing compliance strategies and guiding risk management initiatives in a full time commitment.
As a member of the Corporate Legal team, you will spearhead the privacy program, developing policies and implementing privacy standards. Engage with senior executives and cross-functional teams to assess privacy incidents while providing legal risk advice. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a culture of privacy awareness throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities: • Establish and continuously refine privacy policies • Manage complex privacy assessments and incidents • Advise on technology-related privacy issues • Promote privacy awareness across teams and external partners • Communicate legal matters clearly to diverse audiences
Requirements: • JD with a minimum of 5 years in privacy law • In-depth understanding of privacy regulations • Good standing with provincial law society • Relevant certifications like CIPP • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
